FEATURED ALUMNI PANELISTS

Tim Anderson, MS City and Regional Planning ’20
Urban Planner, Manhattan Borough President’s Office

Tim Anderson is a lifelong Brooklyn resident who is passionate about urban planning, history, and creating a just society for those who have been historically marginalized. Tim attended CUNY City College of New York where he received his BA in Political Science. Over the years Tim has worked in a number of industries: architecture, historic preservation, fundraising, and now in urban planning.


Lauren Kruegel Siroky, BFA Interior Design ’07
Interior Design Director, Robert A.M. Stern Architects

Lauren Kruegel Siroky joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 2013 and was named the firm’s Interior Design Director in 2016. Her work at the firm has included projects from New York to Beijing, embracing private houses and apartments as well as high-end corporate and institutional interiors. Lauren has worked on many amenities spaces in the apartment buildings for which the firm is perhaps best known. Lauren also co-directs the firm's product design program.


Frank Verlizzo, BFA Communications Design (Illustration) ’72
Frank “Fraver” Verlizzo has left an indelible mark on the landscape of the American theatre. He’s created poster art for over 300 Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and international productions, including some of the most memorable designs in theatre history including Disney’s The Lion King, Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, and Ira Levin’s thriller Deathtrap. Playbill has called him, “the theatre poster legend.”

Laura Scarano, BA History of Art & Design ’11
Associate Director of Development, UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs

From rural New Jersey, Laura Scarano lived in Brooklyn for 10 years. She moved to Los Angeles in 2018, but is forever a New Yorker at heart. Her career in higher education began at Pratt, and she later worked at The Cooper Union and Columbia University School of the Arts, forever with the mission of supporting artists. Pratt helped Laura cultivate a love of tapestries and avant garde photography, and today, she produces short films on the side.
